Unclaimed Inheritance

Unclaimed inheritances refer to assets or properties left behind by a deceased individual that have not been claimed by their designated heirs or beneficiaries. These assets may include bank accounts, stocks, real estate, valuables, or other forms of wealth passed down through inheritance. Unclaimed inheritances typically arise when heirs or beneficiaries are unaware of their entitlement, unable to locate the assets, or fail to take the necessary steps to claim them. As a result, these assets remain dormant until they are claimed by the rightful heirs or until the statutory period for claiming them expires, at which point they may be transferred to the OUF where they are held until claimed by the rightful owners or their representatives.
